Greg Elks is a Consulting Botanist & Plant Ecologist, trading as Idyll Spaces. I hold a Master of Letters in Ecology and Bachelor of Science in Botany from the University of New England, Armidale NSW.
He has 24 years experience as a botanist and ecologist on the North Coast, Northern Tablelands and Western Slopes of NSW. My experience also includes five years employment with NSW Government agencies, mainly as a scientific project manager on inter-agency projects in forest ecology, ecological assessment and vegetation mapping undertaken for NSW Government agencies including the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage, National Parks and Wildlife Service, Forests NSW and Planning NSW.
He is a recognised expert witness in the NSW Land & Environment Court in matters relating to the ecology of native vegetation communities including the mapping of vegetation from remote imagery and identification of endangered ecological communities.
